What is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner?
A Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP) has been certified by the Nutritional Therapy Association to practice holistic, functional nutrition. Our education gives us a wide range of educational tools and techniques that help us to identify and correct nutritional imbalances in the body. NTP’s are most known for our valuable hands-on Functional Clinical Assessment and use of Lingual-neuro Testing to assess unique supplement needs.
Our Guiding Principles
There is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach. You are unique, and your approach to nutrition and wellness should reflect that.
- Nutrition: Giving your body the right tools it needs to create balance
- Digestion: Absorbing and assimilating the nutrients we eat
- Blood Sugar Regulation: Ensuring a steady, balanced supply of energy to reduce stress
- Fatty Acid Balance: Absorbing and utilizing healthy fats for fuel, inflammation management, and healing/repair
- Mineral Balance: The spark plugs necessary for critical body processes
- Hydration: Supplying cells and tissues with sufficient water
- Sleep, Rest & relaxation
- Stress Management Methods
- Movement & Structural Alignment
- Psychological health
- Bio-energetic health
- Community & social support

My approach to practicing nutrition
When we work together, my goal is to empower you to trust and feel at home in your body. Not just a diet, but body awareness.
Not just a one-dimensional macros plan, but a set of tools for you to create the lasting change your body has been asking for.
I know what it takes to create lasting, sustainable change in your health and in your life. While nutrition is important, it goes far beyond what to eat and what not to eat… if you want REAL change, we have to dig deeper. Our work will include breaking through mindset barriers, rebuilding our understanding of WHY we eat, relearning body signals, and more education to empower you to support your body in the best way you can.
Health Concerns I See Most Often
When our bodies are out of balance, we experience the disconnect through symptoms. While I see clients with a wide variety of health imbalances, there are several concerns that I see quite frequently.
- Low/inconsistent energy
- Poor sleep
- Gut/Digestive Health
- Weight management issues
- Plateaus in athletic performance and progress
- Nagging/recurring injuries
- Inflammation, joint pain
- Food cravings
- Skin issues: acne, rosacea, rashes
- PMS/Hormonal imbalances
These symptoms do not have to be your “new normal”. Your body craves balance and has the incredible capacity to restore, regenerate, and correct itself, but it needs tools and nutrients to do so! Nutritional Therapy helps to restore your power by looking beyond the surface. We don’t address symptoms, we seek to understand the root cause of them…why is your body sending this signal in the first place?
